WHAT IS CANNABIDIOL?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, the second most abundant substance present in the Cannabis Sativa L. plant, is a non-psychotic metabolite: it has relaxing, anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory effects, and is widely used in a wide range of therapeutic applications validated by results of scientific research.
IS CBD ADDICTIVE?
To date, there have been no cases of abuse or addiction problems in both the animals and human, due to the intake of CBD.
Referring to what was stated by a well-known report of the World Health Organization:
"In humans, CBD shows no potential addictive effects ... To date, there is no evidence of health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD."
DOES CBD HAVE PSYCHOACTIVE EFFECTS?
CBD, unlike THC, is not intoxicating, this is because despite having significant effects on the
brain, it would seem to be devoid of those characteristics that could transform it into a substance capable of giving phenomena of abuse or addiction.
On the contrary, there are numerous studies that highlight how it can counteract or reduce the negative effects of THC.
WHAT IS THE ENTOURAGE EFFECT?
The Entourage effect states that the Phyto complex of cannabis (the group of chemicals in cannabis plants) is more effective when all of its compounds act in unison than the action of a single chemical component in its isolated form.
Studies report that the result of the combination can modify the action of the main active ingredients, improving their action and minimizing possible side effects.
WHICH CANNABIS STRAINS DOES ITALIA CBD USE IN PRODUCTION?
For the production of our extracts and cannabidiol-based products we use Cannabis Sativa L. plants from certified seeds with THC values lower than those permitted by law. (ref. L 242/16).
